2018 World Cup Bids Latest

Thursday, December 9th, 2010

If you’re banking on a summer of international football a stones-throw from your home come 2018, you may be better off moving your home (or building a bigger catapult) if discarded paper scraps circulating amongst Fifa’s executives are to be believed.

It’ll be Mortgage in Portugal for the Football starved, if correspondence between Spanish representative Angel Villar Llona and Quatar rep Mohamaed Bin Hammam is genuine and to be believed. Saying ‘vamos a ganar’, the note is being interpreted as an admission of collusion between the two nations, who have already been accused of trying to manipulate votes to bring the 2018 World Cup to Spain and Portugal and the following 2022 World Cup to Qatar. Fifa however has dropped all promise of action over the supposed activity.

The English bid has been losing popularity and credibility in recent weeks, whilst the Portuguese / Spanish bid gains in popularity alongside the rival Russian bid. The English bid has suffered in the wake of newspaper investigations into Fifa conduct. Reporters posed as a party interested in bring the World Cup to the United States, and managed to catch the Nigerian and Tahitian members pledging votes in return for bribes.

The bid is considered an issue of national importance, and David Cameron has been talking to other leaders at the G20 summit to secure their backing. He has subsequently vowed to travel to Zurich to speak with the Fifa leaders ahead of the December 2nd ballot that will select the hosting nations of the 2018 and 2022 World Cups. Hosting the World Cup is seen as particularly appealing to the Island Nation, which will have made significant infrastructure improvements in the run up to its hosting of the 2012 Olympics.

The Spanish and English would be hosting their second world cups (1982 and 1966 respectively) but the Portuguese half brings a freshness to the bid. As current kings of Internation Football, the Spanish seem like a doubly likely host for the next World Cup. With this in mind, It’s no surprise to see English nationals deserting their homeland and looking into the alien world of Mortgages for property in Portugal.

Is Soccer Coming Home

Check Out Now:

The English football team have managed to reach the quarter finals of the Fifa World Cup, will this lastly be the year that football comes again house for the first time since 1966? Despite not enjoying their finest soccer, England are nonetheless in the tournament and should have an awesome likelihood of lifting the trophy.

Some might say that I am biased as I am from England myself and am an avid England supporter, nevertheless I really really feel that 2006 could possibly be the year for our boys out there in Germany. This may occasionally of course be all blown away on Saturday when the crew face Portugal and massive Phil Scolari. Scolari has been the supervisor of the final teams who’ve knocked England out of the final two major tournaments and subsequently will pose a giant menace to my team. He was the supervisor of the Brazil crew that beat England in the 2002 World Cup and he was and nonetheless is the supervisor of the Portugal team that beat England within the 2004 European Championship. I’m hoping that it will likely be third time lucky for the English this year.

To say that England are but to peak is a bit of an understatement as they’ve in fact been nicely below par. This might however be fairly a superb thing, how many times have Germany scraped through to the final phases of the match with out thrilling the crowds?

With Wayne Rooney becoming stronger and fitter this has to be the most effective alternative that England has had for quite some time. There are a lot of leaders and potential captains in the English team. Players like John Terry, Frank Lampard, Steven Gerrard would all make worthy captains when David Beckham decides to give up this role. As well as potential captains, these gamers are also what I name winners and when push comes to shove hopefully will deliver the goods.

Argentina, Brazil and Germany might prove to be the biggest dangers to England. After a sluggish begin Ronaldo appears to have discovered his scoring boots once more and the Brazil staff has some nice gamers everywhere in the park. I have to say that I am getting fairly bored of them successful nevertheless, certainly its the turn of England this time around.

Germany have played some nice soccer on their home turf and appear to build up a head of steam. They may show quite troublesome to cease and all the time seem to do effectively within the World Cup.

Many individuals would argue that Argentina have in all probability played the very best football thus far and that they’re worthy favourites. I would have to agree with this and simply hope that they’ve peaked too soon.

It definitely would be a terrific summer time in England if our team can bring soccer residence to where it belongs this year. Good luck England.

Italy’s Soccer Future

Saturday, July 24th, 2010

Italian Marcelo Lippi has faced a number of soccer pundit jokes this season due to the age of his team.  The team is very likely to be fairly new by the Brazilian World Cup, when athletes such as 32 year-old Gianluigi Buffon, 36 year-old Fabio Cannavaro, 32 year-old Gennaro Gattuso, and other players like Andrea Pirlo (31), Gianluca Zambrotta (33), Vincenzo Iaquinta (30), Mauro Camoranesi (33), and Antonio Di Natale (32) are sure to be gone from the team.  Who will Lippi or his successor choose to replace the team?

Lorenzo De Silvestri    Defender     (Fiorentina)    Aged 22
De Silvestri, who stands at just over six feet tall, comes from Lazio, where he recently served as fullback.  Since his move to Fiorentina in 2009, De Silvestri has rediscovered his best form that saw him represent Italy at every age range from Under 16 through to the U21 side. De Silvestri’s power as a fullback may end up earning him a position on the national team in place of Zambrotta.

Davide Santon        Defender    (Inter)        Aged 19
Santon, who made a striking 28 appearances for Inter this season and five for Azzuri, is a skillful defender with an ability to play either flank successfully. Compared by Italian head coach Marcelo Lippi to Paolo Maldini, Santon has fantastic energy and can race up and down the flanks for the full 90 minutes. Thanks to his sound technical skills, and omitting the risk of injury, Santon should be joining the next few major finals Italian squads.

Mario Balotelli        (Striker)    (Inter)        Aged 19
Although Mario Balotelli can be quick to anger and temperamental, his skill as an attack and winger has given Italy hope for a strong squad when he starts wearing the Italy soccer merchandise.  Batelli’s run-ins with both fans and management only serve to distract from his excellent record: the player scored twenty goals in 59 games and notched 6 and 16 for the U21 Italian set. We can expect to see Batelli at the 2012 Euro qualifiers because Italy is going to need a brand new look strike force.

Federico Macheda    (Striker)    (Man Utd)    Aged 18
A fiercely underrated player that has yet to regularly make the first team at Old Trafford, Macheda is set to have a great next season and catch they eye of Azzuri management. Macheda is a strong, intelligent striker, who has an eye for goal. Particularly good with his back to goal, he has already been capped at U21 level for Italy and if he can start to make a bigger impact in the United first team, full honours should soon follow.

Antonio Candreva    (Midfielder)    Udinese    Aged 23
Finding a replacement for Andrea Pirlo may be the Italian sides greatest challenge in the next few years and one possible replacement could be Candreva. The Udinese midfielder, who is being touted as making his loan move during last season to Juventus more permanent, is versatile enough to play anywhere in midfield but seems to excel in the holding, creative role so favoured by Pirlo.

Spain vs Germany 2010

I really enjoyed the World Cup Semi Final last night between Spain who are the Current Euro Champions against Germany who despite having a young team have been strong throughout the whole tournament, I almost felt I was actually there in the stadium as I my spanish friend was endlessly shouting at the television and thinking he was really the manager.

At the half time break the score was still an agonising 0-0 and during the tv adverts there was a constant push for Internet Marketing of the world cup where so much information is accessible online these days, for example if you had missed any of the previous games you were able to watch them on the internet, being able to view all the live match statistics as well as join an online forum to discuss your own thoughts and post your own comments.

The World Cup has been such a success for South Africa and given the country the boost its needs to attract higher tourism levels.

So many online business have made a success throughout the time of the World Cup in South Africa, not only through travel and football merchandise but common accessories such as those noisy trumpets they call a vuvuzela which i saw for sale in my village shop, i didnt buy one as i intend on keeping my friends!

The football stadiums in South Africa were very impressive, especially the one in Durban which was were Spain were to get a suprised 1-0 defeat to Switzerland match. A friend of mine was lucky enough to see that match as he was visiting family down there.

Talking to a friend after the match who works for a company who specialise in Ecommerce website design he was sure that the Netherlands were going to win the final.

Some of the football sites also have some fantastic web design too!
